Lavender Flowers impart a delicate flavor to vinaigrette salad dressings and light marinades. It is commonly used as an ingredient in Westernized Herbes de Provence seasoning blend. It is delicious rubbed on fowl before roasting. Sprinkle lavender over frosted sugar cookies or buttercream iced white cakes for a sophisticated touch. You can also use it as a substitute for rosemary and make a lavender tea. Lavender adds an excellent flavor and a nice color pop to your recipes.

Bake something scrumptious!
Got cookies, muffins, or scones on the menu? How about creme brûlée? Lavender sugar will contribute a sweet, aromatic hint of decadence to each dish. Sprinkle on top of sugar cookies or add to the batter of muffins and scones. In creme brûlée, replace the called-for granulated sugar with lavender sugar.

Create a fragrant floral cocktail
If it fits with the menu, opt for a lavender-based aperitif at your next Garnish & Gather affair. Use lavender sugar to line the rim of the cocktail glasses and for the drinks, create a simple syrup by boiling lavender sugar and filtered water.

Make an herbaceous butter
Start with unsalted butter and add lavender sugar, basil, and thyme. Give it to someone you love.

Sweeten hot or iced tea
Lavender itself pairs well with bitter citrus fruits, honey, apples, basil, and coriander. Next time you’re sipping lemon tea, accent it with lavender sugar and honey.
Where to use:
>> Chocolate - Lavender goes really well with both dark and white chocolate, and lightly salted chocolate is always a good thing. Try a sprinkle on pudding, mousse, cake, or fudge.
>> Scallops - Mild shellfish like tender scallops go very well with florals. Finishing a lemony, buttery scallop dish with lavender salt is a spectacular finishing touch.
>> Lamb chops - There is something magical about the combination of lavender and lamb. Of all the red meats, lamb carries the flowery flavor best of all. A little bit on your lamb chops is all you need.
>> Fresh fruit - Try sprinkling papayas, berries, pineapples, and other fruit with lavender salt. The salt brings out the intense sweetness of the fruit while the lavender lightly perfumes it.
>> Caramels or toffee - If you’re making homemade caramels or toffee, add a sprinkling of lavender salt for decoration and flavor.
>> Margaritas - Give your margarita a twist by rimming the glass in lavender salt instead of plain salt.
>> Lemony things - Lavender and lemon is a classic combination, whether you’re serving something savory or sweet.
>> Roast chicken - Rub a bit under the skin with some butter before roasting, and prepare to be delighted.
